Adamclisi has different soils from nearby Murfatlar and Oltina. Its whites show pronounced mineral notes, while the reds are medium-bodied with bold fruit. Compared with Danube-side Oltina, Adamclisi has less mist and reaches maturity earlier. Whites can show grapefruit, pineapple, gooseberry and elderflower aromas. Reds may bring blueberry, bitter black cherry, pepper, smoked prune and blackcurrant notes, with a velvety drying grip from tannin.
