Vineyards in the wider Galilee and Golan winegrowing area range from sea level to 1,200 metres. Wines grown in the Golan Heights may also carry the Galilee designation.
- 02Judean HillsNo producers listed yetThe Judean Hills wine area around Jerusalem lies east of the Judean Foothills and is part of Israel's winegrowing landscape. Small vineyards occupy slopes and valleys at 600 to 900 metres. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Carignan are important red grapes, with Chardonnay among the whites.

Vineyards at 600 to 1,000 metres have dry conditions, strong sun and cooler nights, with desalination and drip irrigation supplying water. Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Grenache are important red grapes; white wines can have fresh acidity and stone-fruit aromas.

- 05SamsonNo producers listed yetSamson, also called Shimshon, runs from Israel's central coastal plain through the Shefela to the Judean Foothills west of the Judean Hills. The low coast is warm, humid and shaped by sea breezes, sandy loam and alluvial soils. Inland, vineyards extend into the rolling Judean Foothills.
