- 02Danubian PlainNo producers listed yetDanubian Plain covers low plains, hills and plateaux in northern Bulgaria. Its three published zones run from Vidin and Vratsa through Pleven and Suhindol to Ruse and Svishtov. Gamza, Cabernet Sauvignon, local grapes and sparkling wine all have a place here.
- 03Rose Valley3 producersBetween the Balkan Mountains and Sredna Gora, Rose Valley pairs a rose-oil landscape with aromatic white wines from Red Misket. Sungurlare is known for dry and semi-dry examples, while Nova Zagora is associated with creamy, fresh sparkling wine with mineral character and a round body.
- 04Struma Valley5 producersStruma Valley is a warm wine region in Bulgaria with four sub-regions, including Harsovo, Sandanski and Melnik. Red grapes predominate, producing full-bodied wines with spicy southern tones.
- 05Thracian Lowland8 producersBulgaria's southern Thracian Lowland has 39 micro-regions and a strong red-wine tradition. Mavrud grows alongside Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Rubin. Western areas are associated with blended reds, while central districts also make semi-dry whites and dessert wines.
