Bulgaria's Black Sea Coast includes 12 wine sub-regions, among them Evksinograd, Varna, Varbitsa, Veliki Preslav, Dragoevo and Shumen. White grapes are central here, with Dimyat and Misket Varnenski grown alongside Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. The region is divided into northern coast, interior and southern coast areas, while a broader professional subdivision separates the North Black Sea Coast from the South Black Sea Coast. The Black Sea wine route links local vineyards and wineries with the area's cultural heritage.
