Old criolla vines trained into native trees remain part of its wine tradition. Camargo, Villa Abecia and Las Carreras are its principal wine districts, and the valley's denomination of origin was established in 2014.
- 02CochabambaNo producers listed yetCochabamba is a high-altitude wine region, with vineyards reported between 1,600 and 2,850 metres. Valle Alto and Sipe Sipe are among its named areas; producers make red, semi-sweet white and rosé wines, Tannat and singani.

Samaipata, about three hours from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, is a wine-growing area and a useful name to look for when shopping, close to the transition toward the Amazon rainforest.
