Corse is French wine with an island character. Granite hillsides, limestone pockets, sea wind and high passes give each coast its own conditions. Niellucciu gives Patrimonio a firm, savoury red frame, while Sciaccarellu brings floral spice around Ajaccio. Vermentinu leads the white-wine story, often with salt and herbs rather than weight. Read the island by its coastline: Patrimonio and Cap Corse in the north, Calvi in the northwest, Ajaccio in the west, then Sartène, Figari and Porto-Vecchio in the south.
