Provence’s flagship appellations include Bandol, Cassis, Palette, Bellet and Coteaux de Pierrevert. Bandol is built around Mourvèdre and limestone terraces above the coast. Cassis is known for coastal white wine, while Palette is a tiny zone near Aix-en-Provence. Bellet and Coteaux de Pierrevert also appear in the area. These are separate appellations from Côtes de Provence.
