The Producer
Albrecht and Andrea Schwegler founded the winery in the early 1990s. The vineyards have followed organic-growing guidelines since the late 1980s, avoiding synthetic inputs.
In 2009, Aaron Schwegler and his wife Julia joined the business after working at wineries in Germany, Switzerland, California and New Zealand. White wines have also been produced since their arrival.
Place
Korb lies in Württemberg's Remstal-Stuttgart area. The winery's 12 hectares are divided among individual sites in Endersbach, Großheppach, Korb and Schnait.
Wines
The winery's range includes red and white wines. Red wines mature for two years in French barriques, while white wines mature for 12 months in barrique and tonneau barrels. Beryll 2018 is a red wine with an aroma of warm black and red berries, some preserved and ripe, alongside smoke, spiced bread, malt, liquorice and pepper.
Final Word
Aaron Schwegler and Julia joined the business in 2009, and white wines have been produced since then.
