The Producer

Vignobles Bayle-Carreau unites seven generations of family winemaking, with its vineyards formally founded in 1976. Near the Gironde estuary, the estates benefit from distinctive terroir and strong sun exposure. The Bayle family acquired the 15-hectare Château la Carelle estate in the Blayais region in 1910; its sandy clay soils support sustainable farming and grapes with complex aromas and lighter tannic structure.

Wines

The listed 2022 Château la Carelle is a red wine from Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux. Château la Carelle reds undergo six months of tank fermentation and maceration, followed by 12–14 months in oak barrels before bottling.
