The Producer

Roman colonization of the Gordonne region dates to the 1st century BC. Between 1650 and 1663, the estate took the name La Gordonne from Councillor Gourdon, its latest owner. In 1850, major renovations transformed the château and its outlying buildings, after which the estate began commercial wine production.

Place

The estate sits in Provence, and its 2024 rosé carries the Côtes de Provence appellation. The vineyard forms a seaward facing amphitheatre of shale. The Mistral sweeps across the vines, protecting them from disease pressure caused by damp conditions.

Wines

The range contains five cuvées. Château La Gordonne Rosé 2024 is made from Grenache noir, Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Tibouren. It is a pale, aromatic, refreshing and dry rosé with fresh fruit aromas and delicate varietal fermentation aromas.

Final Word

The estate's primary grape varieties include Grenache, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.
