The Producer
Baron Émile Double converted the property into a wine estate in 1890. Phanette Double, an oenologist and agricultural engineer, is now the proprietor. The estate covers 43 hectares and has held organic certification since 2013. Its wines are produced under Coteaux-d'Aix-en-Provence and IGP Méditerranée.
Place
Saint-Cannat is the home of Château Beaupré in the Coteaux-d'Aix-en-Provence appellation. The estate also produces wines under IGP Méditerranée. An appellation names a regulated regional category, while an IGP gives a broader geographic designation, so the two terms place the bottles at different levels of geographic specificity.
Wines
The range includes Château de Beaupré R-Osez 2025 and the main rosé, Le Château. R-Osez 2025 is a dry rosé made from 100% Grenache Noir, with 12.5% alcohol and less than 0.3 g/100 ml residual sugar. Le Château uses Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah. Nocturnal harvesting helps preserve aromas and keeps the colour pale, while the cellar combines saignée with direct pressing.
Final Word
The present range is defined by a single variety rosé beside a wider blend, with both bottles tied to the same Saint-Cannat estate.
