Who makes it
World of Wine is made by Nolea, which runs wine tastings for companies and private groups in Stockholm. Its editor is Camilla Sand, a sommelier whose speciality is Champagne.
The aim is a wine reference that is deep enough to trust and clear enough to enjoy, organised around the places wine comes from.
How guides are made
Facts come from official sources first: production rules, national registers and wine boards. After those come named writers and reference books. Every guide lists its sources and the date it was last checked, and figures such as vineyard area or minimum ageing are taken from the source, not estimated.
Guides vary in depth on purpose. The best-known places have full guides with maps, label names and bottles to start with. Smaller places have short profiles or a few checked facts. Where we cannot find a reliable source, we leave the page short rather than guess.
Independence
World of Wine carries no advertising and no affiliate links, and sells nothing. Producers do not pay to appear and cannot buy a better description. Where the site shows that a wine is sold at Systembolaget, that is for convenience only: World of Wine is not connected to Systembolaget.
