Lesser Poland is a wine region in Poland. A University of Krakow study of Małopolska compared air temperature, precipitation, snow cover, frosts and relief using stations at Tarnów, Dobczyce and Łącko. Against Lower Silesia, Małopolska had weaker temperature and precipitation conditions, but better location, snow-cover and relief conditions. Frost danger was similar. The study found that viticulture is possible here, with local conditions making the difference.
