The name Oslo Viken does not correspond to a confirmed established Norwegian wine appellation. In Greater Oslo, the named divisions are Asker and Bærum, Follo and Romerike. Winegrowing sits within Norway's early-stage commercial scene, with limited volumes and few producers.
Near Randsfjorden, Thorbjørnrud Vingård planted Solaris, Rondo and Pinot Noir in June 2022, then added Solaris and Pinot Noir in May 2023. The vineyard reports good sunlight and a favourable microclimate, and expects wines with fresh acidity and fruitiness. Its plans include white, rosé and sparkling wines.
