Rabat Sale Kenitra brings together several Moroccan wine appellations, not one. Chellah includes vineyards on both banks of the Bou Regreg River and in the hills of Salé, Sehoul, Rabat, Temara and Bouznika. Zaër runs across hills and plateaus between the Grou River, Rommani, Sidi-Bettache, Sidi Yahya des Zaërs and Aïn Aouda. Zemmour covers hills and plateaus around the Beht and Bou Regreg valleys. Chellah and Zaër are associated with light reds, in contrast with the more robust reds of the Rabat-Casablanca zone.
