Turkistan South Kazakhstan is a wine region in Kazakhstan. A vineyard in Turkestan Province, near the Uzbekistan border, reports warm winters, very hot summers that can reach 45-50°C, and plenty of clear, sunny days. A winery project approved in 2010 after climate research with Bordeaux oenology specialists grows two Georgian grape varieties adapted to its climate. The vineyard account links the area's heat and intense light with high-quality grapes and distinctive wines.
