Vlore

Vlorë lies on Albania's southern coast and is a protected wine name with PGI status, meaning Protected Geographical Indication. Kanina and Dukat make artisanal wines mainly from local grape varieties. Vlosh is both a local grape and wine name, associated with Narta and the hills of Kanina, Trevëllëzër and Zvërnec. Vlosh i Zi uses light red-skinned grapes and can make full-bodied wines, including sweet styles. Its unfermented grape juice is also used in sweet wines and liqueurs. As it ages, the wine may take on an onion-skin colour approaching rosé.
