The Producer
Cellar master Martin Müller pursues a clear, contemporary house style emphasizing freshness and lightness. Separate lots are handled in numerous small stainless-steel tanks and large wooden vessels.
Compost is used to strengthen vineyard soils. Embankments between the terraces are deliberately left undisturbed as habitat for insects, birds and small animals. Solar panels generate energy, while the wine cellar is built into a hillside to reduce consumption.
Place
The estate describes around 384 parcels across Kremstal and Wachau. Its Kremstal vineyards are situated around Krustetten, Hollenburg and Furth bei Göttweig, including some of the highest vineyards in southern Kremstal. The holdings encompass Danube gravel, primary rock and calcareous loess.
Single-vineyard wines organize the range across Kremstal and Wachau, with Grüner Veltliner and Riesling at its center.
Wines
The 2025 Weingut Müller Kremstal Grüner Veltliner Vom Loess opens with fresh apple, yellow pear, fresh herbs, white pepper and ripe lemon. Its lightly mineral-driven finish is energetic and citrus-tart, followed by a fresh green-herbal note.
The range also includes Weingut Müller Kremstal Ried Leiten Riesling. The current Ried Leiten is a varietal Riesling classified as Kremstal DAC.
Final Word
Across more than 15 single vineyards, Martin Müller's clear house style centers Grüner Veltliner and Riesling on freshness and lightness.
