The Producer
Trenel & Fils is based in Charnay-lès-Mâcon in Saône-et-Loire, Burgundy. Michel Chapoutier acquired the house in 2015. Trenel retained its operational independence and original team leadership after the acquisition.
Wines
Cuvée Rochebonne is Trenel's signature wine. It is made from Gamay Noir grown on vines planted in 1922.
The red range also includes Trenel Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2023 and Trenel Beaujolais Villages 2022. The latter carries the Beaujolais appellation.
Trenel produces white wines from Pouilly-Fuissé and St-Véran. The whites are made without purchased yeasts and receive minimal barrel aging.
