The Producer

Starmont Winery & Vineyards began as part of Merryvale, first appearing on a label in 1989, and is owned by René and Laurence Schlatter. Led in winemaking by Jeff Crawford, it sources from selected Monterey, Santa Barbara, Sonoma and Napa County sites, using gentle handling and limited new oak to shape classic single-varietal wines.

Wines

The documented 2023 Chardonnay combines lemon curd, lime blossom, ripe pear and flinty minerality with a fresh-to-creamy palate, while the 2023 Pinot Noir brings red and black cherry, cranberry, earthy notes and silky tannins.
