The Producer

Opus One began with a 1978 partnership between Baron Philippe de Rothschild and Robert Mondavi, with its first vintage made in 1979. Its four estate-vineyard parcels lie in western Oakville, including two parcels within To Kalon Vineyard; the winery has held California Certified Organic Farming certification since 2021.

Wines

The listed range includes Opus One and Overture red wines, principally represented by 2022 releases, alongside older Opus One vintages and a 2018 Magnum. Opus One 2022 is Cabernet Sauvignon-led and aged 18 months in new French oak; Overture 2022 is selected for a softer, red-fruit-driven profile.
