The Producer
Mercurey is home to Maison L. TRAMIER et Fils SAS, a merchant wine grower founded in 1842. The company operates a family domain producing wines across multiple appellations. Its vaulted cellars were carved into bedrock in 1830, providing natural storage and ageing.
Collection Tramier comprises three entities: L. Tramier & Fils, the merchant house; Domaine Laurent Dufouleur, the vineyard; and Roncier, the wine brand. Domaine Laurent Dufouleur was established in Mercurey in 2019, combining family and recently acquired vineyard parcels.
Roncier was launched in the early 1960s as a flagship wine combining Tramier family heritage. The brand draws on more than 175 years of family wine making knowledge.
Place
Mercurey is the Burgundy base for Maison L. TRAMIER et Fils SAS and Domaine Laurent Dufouleur. The house works across multiple appellations, so bottles can carry different regulated geographic names while remaining linked to the same Mercurey merchant wine grower.
An appellation is a regulated place name for wine. On a bottle, it sets the geographic frame for the wine and separates one address from another within the wider portfolio.
Wines
Roncier has two ranges. Authentiques is intended for everyday occasions, while Uniques is intended for special occasions. Both ranges focus on accessible, easy to drink wines.
Roncier Rouge is a red wine and Roncier Blanc is a white wine. La Minée Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2021 is a red wine whose name includes Bourgogne, Pinot Noir and the 2021 vintage. The range therefore moves from branded red and white wines to a vintage named Pinot Noir bottle.
