The Producer

Henri Bourgeois has cultivated vines in Chavignol since 1696, working across Sancerre and neighbouring Pouilly-Fumé. The organic estate vinifies each plot separately, drawing on Kimmeridgian marl, limestone-clay and flint soils for Sancerre whites, reds and rosés, adapted to each vintage.

Wines

The listed wines include 2023 Sancerre Les Baronnes Rouge, 2024 Sancerre Les Baronnes and 2024 Petit Bourgeois Sauvignon Blanc. Les Baronnes is a Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc from chalky-clay soils, aged four months on lees in stainless steel; Petit Bourgeois is 100% Sauvignon Blanc.
