The Producer
When Jean-Eugène Borie acquired Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste from Raymond Dupin in 1978, François-Xavier Borie took direct leadership of the Pauillac estate. The Borie family has owned it since then.
The estate's lineage reaches back to the 16th century. The family's connection to Médoc wine reaches the end of the 19th century, linking the château to a longer Borie history in the region.
Place
Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste is located in Pauillac. Pauillac on the label names the regulated geographical origin, identifying the place where the estate's wine comes from.
Wines
The named range consists of Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste and Lacoste-Borie. Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste has beautiful, deep color with pure and complex aromas that are subtle and refined. It can age eight to ten years to reveal its full potential.
Lacoste-Borie is the second wine. Its 2017 vintage is finely tannic, fresh in acidity, balanced without austerity, and marked by innate complexity.
Final Word
Domaines François-Xavier Borie joins a Pauillac address to the Borie family's long Médoc wine history. Its named range is Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste and Lacoste-Borie.
