Who makes it
Domaine La Famille K is based in Morancé, in Beaujolais. Le Père Rouge 2018 is the red bottle, while Le Père Blanc 2018 is a white made from Chardonnay grown on steep south facing slopes.
Le Père Rouge has aromas of strawberry, redcurrant and black cherry, alongside vanilla, pepper and cinnamon. Its tannins are soft and rounded, with fine acidity. Le Père Blanc shows white flowers and stone fruits including apricot, peach and mirabelle plum, with a supple, round palate and oak derived hazelnut and toasted almond notes.

South facing exposure gives vines more direct sunlight during the growing season, which can help Chardonnay ripen.
