The Producer

Jacques Seysses of Domaine Dujac and Aubert de Villaine of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti founded Domaine de Triennes in 1990. The domaine is based in Nans-les-Pins and carries the IGP Méditerranée designation. It is organic certified through Ecocert and emphasizes simple, unpretentious winemaking.

Place

The vineyards are positioned between the Alps and the Mediterranean. Cool nights and slow ripening produce wines from slowly ripened fruit in this Mediterranean setting.

Wines

Among the named bottles, Triennes Rosé is an aromatic rosé with small red fruits on the nose and a round palate. St. Fleur Viognier is the Viognier bottling, certified biodynamic since the 2011 vintage.

Final Word

Domaine de Triennes combines Burgundian rigour with Provençal generosity in its IGP Méditerranée wines.
