Domaine Anne Gros Jean Paul Tollot makes La Ciaude from Syrah, Carignan, and Grenache vines ranging from 12 to 108 years old. The winemakers use three different tractors to accommodate varying row widths and vine-training methods.
What they make
La Ciaude combines 25-year-old Syrah, 108- and 50-year-old Carignan, and 12-year-old Grenache. It shows black raspberry, violet, and spice aromatics with a mineral-driven finish.
