Château Rieussec traces its estate history to the Carmes de Langon monks, who owned the property during the 18th century. Its listed wines are made in the Sauternes appellation, including Château Rieussec and Carmes de Rieussec. The 2001 Château Rieussec was selected as Wine Spectator’s Wine of the Year in 2004.
