The Producer
Michel Louison created Château des Estanilles in 1976. Protecting ecosystems and the environment is a priority, pursued through biodiversity and minimal input methods.
Place
The estate is located at Hameau de Lenthéric in the Cabrerolles commune, within the hilly part of the Faugères appellation.
Wines
Vallongue is a blend led by Syrah, with 35% Grenache, 15% Carignan and 5% Mourvèdre. In 2017, it showed pine and lavender, sweet bramble and red berry fruit, followed by sinewy tannins and a long finish with a mineral edge.
Final Word
Château des Estanilles brings together a hilly Faugères location, ecosystem protection through biodiversity and minimal input methods, and Vallongue, a blend led by Syrah.
