Who makes it
Château Baulac works from a 10 hectare vineyard whose vines are 40 years old. Clay limestone soils support the planting, and Sémillon supplies the fruit for Château Baulac Dodijos, a sweet white Sauternes wine.

Sauternes is in southern Bordeaux, and the appellation is used exclusively for sweet white wines. That rule places Château Baulac Dodijos in a defined category where sweetness is central to the wine's style.
What they make
Château Baulac Dodijos 2023 is the named bottling. It comes in a 375 ml half bottle and contains 11.1 grams of sugar per 100 ml. Its taste is nuanced, very sweet and fresh, with barrel character. Orange marmalade, dried pineapple, saffron, vanilla, beeswax and marzipan mark the aroma and flavour. Serve it at 8 to 10°C with desserts, blue cheeses or foie gras.
