The Producer

EARL Christophe Patis is the formal producer entity behind Champagne Patis-Paille, with Christophe Patis as current producer. The house holds Haute Valeur Environnementale environmental certification.

Place

The producer is located in La Neuville-aux-Larris in the Marne Valley. Its address is 16 rue de l'Eglise, 51480 La Neuville-aux-Larris.

Vineyards And Cellar

Rosé de Saignée uses 90% Pinot Meunier and 10% Pinot Noir. In saignée production, grape skins soak in their juice for 24 to 48 hours to deepen the colour. The cuvée is aged in tank, placing maturation in a vat instead of a barrel.

Wines

Brut Tradition is a fruity, refreshing Champagne with apple and pear aromatics. Rosé de Saignée is the rosé cuvée. Cuvée Origo blends Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay, with vanilla, sablée paste, and citrus in its aromatic profile.

In The Glass

Rosé de Saignée has a red fruit nose and a fresh palate with a pleasant finish shaped by precise dosage. Its sensory character changes each year with the composition of the harvest.

Cuvée Origo opens crisp and linear. White fruit and citrus lead into tea and toasted hazelnut, followed by fresh butter and grapefruit, with refined bitterness at the finish.

A Bottle To Understand It

Rosé de Saignée is the first bottle to open. It is the dedicated rosé cuvée, using the saignée method and tank ageing. Brut Tradition is the fruity, refreshing cuvée, while Cuvée Origo combines three grape varieties. Rosé de Saignée occupies a separate rosé position within the range.

Final Word

Champagne Patis-Paille pairs named Champagne cuvées with PATIS PLURIEL wines that are natural, unfiltered, and made without sulfites.
