The Producer
Champagne Denis Frézier is an independent Champagne producer based at 50 Rue Gaston Poittevin in Monthelon. Since 2001, Sébastien Frézier, Denis's son, has managed the operation.
The family's commercial history includes a clear change of direction. In 1935, Alfred Frézier began Champagne commercialization, moving the family from bulk harvest sales to branded Champagne production. The house now combines that family continuity with HVE certification and a transition to organic viticulture.
Place
Monthelon lies on the southern slopes near Épernay. The vineyards extend through Mancy and Chavot-Courcourt, then reach Cramant, Grauves and Hautvillers.
This spread places the operation across several named villages rather than around a single commune. The home address remains Monthelon, while the vineyard footprint reaches both nearby holdings and sites farther across the Champagne landscape.
Wines
The named range includes Terroir Blanc Brut, Millésime Brut 2016 and Trois Crus Brut. All three are sparkling wines. Millésime Brut carries the 2016 vintage, while Trois Crus Brut is the flagship blend.
Trois Crus Brut combines 70% Meunier with Chardonnay and draws on three historic family vineyard crus from Épernay's south facing slopes. Meunier generally brings generous fruit to Champagne, while Chardonnay contributes acidity and a finer line. Terroir Blanc Brut completes the named range as the white wine cuvée.
Final Word
Champagne Denis Frézier is rooted in Monthelon, with vineyards across several villages and a Trois Crus Brut built from Meunier and Chardonnay. The house's current farming moves toward organic viticulture while preserving its family Champagne base.
