The Producer
Cantina Vallebelbo unites 160 grower families and controls approximately 500 hectares of vineyards in the Langhe. Founded in 1956 as an agricultural cooperative, it works from a shared vineyard base rather than a single estate parcel. From that base come Miravento white frizzante and Moscato d'Asti DOCG.
Place
The vineyards lie in the heart of the Langhe in Piedmont. Vallebelbo works from a broad regional vineyard territory, so its wines carry the Langhe as a regional address through named product lines and sparkling formats instead of one site bottling.
Wines
Collezione 56, Le Filere, Cesare Pavese, San Maurizio and Lever du soleil are the main product lines. Miravento is the white frizzante in the range. Moscato d'Asti DOCG undergoes at least 30 days on lees during low temperature partial fermentation, a process that leaves sweetness and natural carbon dioxide in the wine and adds texture. Miravento has gentle, well integrated effervescence that refreshes the palate with liveliness. Moscato d'Asti DOCG shows intense floral and ripe fruit aromatics, with acacia, white peach and delicate citrus.
Final Word
Cantina Vallebelbo turns a shared Langhe vineyard base into named product lines, white frizzante and Moscato d'Asti DOCG. The range comes from a cooperative of grower families, not a single estate parcel.
