The Producer
Paolo Nardin follows production and Pietro Nardin coordinates the commercial side at Borgo Molino Vigne e Vini. The brothers hold the producer's current management roles, and Paolo collaborates with Andrea Artico, an oenologist. The Nardin family founded Borgo Molino in 1922 and remains its owner. Prosecco DOCG made from Glera is the main focus, with Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore also produced.
Place
Ormelle is in Treviso province, within Veneto's Marca Trevigiana, among the hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. Hilly vineyards bring differences in slope and exposure, and those differences can change Glera's ripening speed, acidity and fruit. The range includes Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore alongside the primary Prosecco DOCG focus.
Wines
Prosecco DOCG made from Glera is the primary wine focus. In sparkling wine, dissolved carbon dioxide creates mousse, acidity supplies freshness, and dosage controls the final sweetness, with Brut, Extra Dry and Dry marking different sweetness levels. Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore is also produced as a named regional style. The two styles are identified by grape and designation; individual cuvée names, dosage levels and fruit profiles remain unspecified.
Final Word
Paolo Nardin and Pietro Nardin keep Borgo Molino's production and commercial roles within the family. Its wines stay focused on Glera, Prosecco DOCG and Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore.
