The Producer

Bodega Vallegarcia farms 31 hectares at roughly 850 metres in Retuerta del Bullaque, Ciudad Real, near the Mountains of Toledo and Cabañeros Natural Park. Alfonso Cortina began the project in the late 1990s, with Richard Smart advising the first plantings. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Viognier, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot shape the estate’s vineyard.

Wines

Documented wines include Petit Hipperia 2022, a French-oak-aged blend of Syrah, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, and Hipperia 2022. Petit Hipperia 2024 is described with red and black fruit, cedar, vibrant acidity and polished tannin.
