The Producer

Bodega Malvajio uses a garage wine model for handmade Málaga winemaking. Antonio Mérida founded the project in 2011, and output is approximately 20,000 bottles a year.

Place

Las Lagunas de Mijas is the bodega's home in Málaga province, at Camino Campanales S/N Nave 9, 29649 Málaga (Mijas). The vineyard holdings combine a small Mijas vineyard with 10 hectares in Mollina.

Wines

Malapipa is a white wine, while Canibal is a red. Canibal has a very intense cherry color with brick tones. Its nose shows ripe fruit, leather, truffle and scrubland. In the mouth, it is round, with good acidity, polished tannins and a very long palate.

Final Word

Canibal is the red and Malapipa the white from Bodega Malvajio's Málaga garage wine project.
