- 01British Columbia1 producerBritish Columbia's Okanagan Valley runs from cooler northern sites to a warmer south, where different grapes find their place. The province makes everything from sparkling wine and dry rosé to fuller reds, late-harvest wines and Icewine. Okanagan Valley includes sub-GIs, while Kootenays is a separate GI.
- 02Ontario1 producerOntario's cool growing season is eased by nearby water, which can moderate cold and lower frost risk. Icewine is its best-known style, but still and sparkling wines matter too. VQA place names lead into Niagara Peninsula, Lake Erie North Shore and Prince Edward County.
- 03Prince Edward CountyNo producers listed yetAt the eastern end of Lake Ontario, Prince Edward County is Ontario's coolest viticultural area. Lake influence and Bay of Quinte breezes temper the growing season, while limestone, stony soils and hard winters set the conditions. Chardonnay appears in several styles, alongside fresh white wines and lighter, high-acid reds led by Pinot Noir.
