Who makes it
Podere Brizio sits on a hilltop in Montalcino, surrounded by southwest-facing vineyards and olive groves looking toward the coast. Its 33-hectare property includes over 11 hectares of Sangiovese, rooted in marine-origin sand and loam over ancient marl and limestone. Fermentation uses native yeast in steel vats, followed by maturation in large, untoasted French Allier oak barrels.

The listed 2022 Podere Brizio Rosso di Montalcino is organic. The producer describes its Rosso with currant and red-fruit notes, balance and a long finish.
