The Producer
Moschofilero sits at the center of Ktima Tselepos, a Peloponnese estate in Arcadia. Mantinia PDO was its first commercial label, and the range includes Gris de Nuit from the Perpatiara single vineyard and Marmarias Chardonnay. The estate uses organic farming methods, renewable energy and water recycling.
Ktima Tselepos works with both broader selected vineyard sourcing and narrower single vineyard wines. Its portfolio includes Moschofilero focused bottles alongside a Chardonnay made through Burgundy style fermentation and fine lees barrel ageing.
Place
Ktima Tselepos works in the Peloponnese, with Arcadia appearing on the appellation line for Mantinia Moschofilero and Marmarias Chardonnay. Mantinia uses fruit from selected vineyards. Gris de Nuit narrows the label to the Perpatiara single vineyard, while Marmarias does the same with Chardonnay.
Wines
The range begins with Mantinia PDO, made from Moschofilero sourced from selected vineyards. Gris de Nuit is a Moschofilero wine from the Perpatiara single vineyard, treated with an extended cold soak before white wine vinification.
Marmarias is the Chardonnay single vineyard wine. It uses Burgundy style fermentation followed by fine lees barrel ageing, giving the range a separate Chardonnay and barrel aged expression alongside its Moschofilero wines.
Final Word
Ktima Tselepos makes Moschofilero wines in Mantinia and Gris de Nuit, alongside Marmarias, a Chardonnay single vineyard wine aged in barrels on fine lees.
