Who makes it
Sixteen grape varieties give Domaine Henri Cruchon a broad working palette inside one appellation. The family winery sits in Echichens above Morges, and its bottles take different routes through that shared place. Chasselas appears in the white range, Pinot Noir and Gamay meet in Nihilo Nature, Chardonnay becomes Cœur de Cuvée, and the Grand Cru wines name the single plots that supply them.
The label therefore carries more than a grape name. Morges identifies the appellation and geographical home, while the grape, plot and cellar method identify the bottle's style. A Grand Cru name points to one terroir. A natural wine signals fermented grape juice bottled without additives, added sulfur or filtration. Cœur de Cuvée signals bottle fermentation and three years on slats.
Where it grows
Echichens lies above Morges, between Geneva and Lausanne, with the estate's vineyards gathered inside the Morges appellation. That shared appellation gives the range one geographical frame while the sixteen varieties create several wine styles within it. The place is therefore read through the relationship between Morges, grape and bottle method.
Chasselas follows a white wine path, Pinot Noir and Gamay form a red blend, and Chardonnay moves into Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine. The Les filles vinifient range adds white, orange and red expressions under one family label. Morges remains constant while the grape and cellar decisions change what reaches the glass.
How it is made
The cellar
Sixteen grape varieties and 112 small plots require the vineyard to be handled as separate pieces. The Grand Cru wines preserve that separation in the bottle: each comes from one plot and bears the name of its terroir. The label keeps the vineyard source close to the wine's range position.
The estate's natural wines follow a defined cellar rule. They are fermented grape juice bottled without additives, added sulfur or filtration. Nihilo Nature blends Pinot Noir and Gamay from biodynamic fruit, uses indigenous yeasts, spends its élevage in stainless steel, and is bottled without added sulfur, fining or filtration. Those decisions leave the wine's fruit and pepper character without oak ageing or clarifying treatment.
What they make
The range begins with varietal wines from the Morges vineyards and becomes more specific through the Grand Crus. Each Grand Cru comes from one plot and carries the name of its terroir, making single-parcel origin a defining label feature. These wines bring place and vineyard naming to the front of the range.
Les filles vinifient contains four natural wines: Initié Chasselas, Altesse Nature, Omnis Orange and Nihilo Rouge. Together they cover white, orange and red styles. Their shared cellar language is fermented grape juice bottled without additives, added sulfur or filtration, while the individual grape and colour determine the bottle's register.
