The Producer

The range moves from Emilien, a multi variety red, to Barthélemy, a deep purple wine with aromas evoking ripe grapes, and then to Marie-Cécile, a Sémillon wine whose robe varies from sparkling gold to amber by vintage. Each bottle has its own grape composition and cellar treatment.

Wines

Emilien is the range's multi variety red: 85% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc, 1% Malbec and 1% Carménère. Its velvety tannins allow it to be drunk young, while ageing reveals the full depth of its terroir and its great longevity.

Barthélemy is aged for at least two years in used barrels with lunar cycle dynamisation, without added sulfur dioxide, and is bottled without filtration. Marie-Cécile is produced exclusively from Sémillon and is vinified and matured in used barrels with lunar cycle dynamisation. Its full bodied palate begins with a supple attack and tight texture, then finishes with mineral character.

Final Word

Château Le Puy places a Merlot led blend beside a used barrel red and a Sémillon wine with a mineral finish. The range is defined by grape composition, lunar cycle dynamisation, and the choice to bottle Barthélemy without filtration.
