The Producer
Amyntas Winery was established in 1959 as a cooperative winery in Amyntaio. It was the first cooperative winery in Greece’s northernmost wine-growing region. Ownership passed in 2012 to the Union of Agricultural Cooperatives of Amyntion, known as ASEPA.
The winery includes a historic section, facilities for still and sparkling wine production, and an ageing cellar. Selected vintages mature in French and American oak barrels.
Wines
Xinomavro is the winery’s main grape. Its production spans sparkling, white, rosé, red and aged red wines. Rhoditis, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Merlot and Syrah also appear across the range. Named bottles include Amyntas White Dry Wine and Amyntas Rosé Dry Wine.
Euphoria Rosé 2024 is presented as 100% Xinomavro. It is dry, with aromas of wild strawberry, blood orange and light herbs, followed by grapefruit bitterness on the finish. The wine is just below medium-bodied, with acidity at a similar level.
