He went on to found Les Vins Georges Duboeuf, a merchant, winemaker and producer. The company became known for popularizing and producing Beaujolais wines, and Duboeuf was given the nicknames le roi du Beaujolais and pape du Beaujolais, the king or pope of Beaujolais. His career rose to global prominence. The work began with a bicycle and continued under the name Les Vins Georges Duboeuf.

Vineyards And Cellar

For Moulin-à-Vent Signature, the cellar uses partial destemming, semi-carbonic maceration and stainless steel. Partial destemming leaves some stems with the grapes. Semi-carbonic maceration starts fermentation in an atmosphere rich in carbon dioxide. Together, these methods bring stem material and carbonic fermentation into the same red wine. Stems can add aromatic detail and tannin, while stainless steel avoids oak flavour and preserves fruit character.
