The Producer
Les Maîtres Vignerons de St Tropez brings together estate wines and branded wines from Provence. Each winegrower tends vines and vinifies grapes on their own estate, with professional expertise at every stage. Estate wines carry the imprint of their winemaker, while branded wines use modern packaging.
The group also operates a modern, high performance bottling unit and continues to invest in equipment. Shared bottling sits alongside estate farming and vinification, giving the organisation both individual estate wines and larger branded ranges.
Place
The Saint Tropez peninsula is one of four Provence regions supplying the group. The others are the Golden Triangle, Cannet des Maures and southern Luberon. The Golden Triangle comprises vineyards between Cuers, Puget Ville and Pierrefeu.
The Golden Triangle vineyards are managed with sustainable agriculture methods. Its Mediterranean climate provides maximum sunshine for the vines. Across the wider group, grapes are tended and vinified by the winegrowers on their own estates, keeping regional sourcing connected to local cellar work.
Wines
Les Voiles de Saint Tropez is the flagship rosé, a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Carignan, Vermentino, Mourvèdre and Cabernet Sauvignon. It has a brilliant colour with hints of powder pink, fresh citrus and stone fruit aromas, and a fresh finish.
Roi Soleil is made from Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Tibouren, Rolle, Ugni Blanc and Clairette. Fresh fruit and red berries lead into hints of grapefruit peel, with a crisp finish that is slightly acidic.
Grain de Glace is the winter rosé, made from Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Rolle. Its very light colour has bluish highlights, while the nose brings exotic fruit, peach and lychee. The palate is round and notably fresh.
Cep d'Or combines Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah. It shows a brilliant rosé colour, red fruit and spice on the nose, a melting texture, and a mineral finish with good length.
Final Word
Les Maîtres Vignerons de St Tropez joins estate farming and vinification with shared bottling across Provence. Its rosé range moves from citrus and stone fruit to red berries, exotic fruit, spice and mineral length.
