Its 50 hectares sit in Naoussa PDO on the eastern slopes of Mount Vermion, between 250 and 350 metres, with Xinomavro at the centre. The range includes Ramnista Xinomavro, The Fallen Oak, a red blend of Xinomavro, Merlot and Syrah, and Assyrtiko. The Fallen Oak brings oak maturation, soft mouthfeel, balanced acidity and earthy notes.

Boutaris Leaves Boutari
In 1997, Yiannis Boutaris left his family's Boutari Wine Group, founded in 1879, to establish Kir-Yianni as an independent, quality focused estate. He pursued a smaller venture under the Kir-Yianni name, separate from the family business. Boutaris later served as President of the Greek Wine Federation. Kir-Yianni carried the name of its founder, while his professional life also included a national role in Greek wine. The estate and the federation presidency belonged to the same founder.
