The story
René Baldès in the 1950s
In the 1950s, René Baldès led the vineyard at Clos Triguedina and contributed to establishing the Cahors wine brotherhood and the appellation's original trade association. He was involved in both organisations during the decade while continuing to lead the family vineyard. The brotherhood and trade association gave René two different roles in Cahors wine life, one connected to fraternity among wine people and the other to the appellation's organised trade. Both belonged to René Baldès's work in the 1950s.
