The story
The Chilean Beginning
In 1979, the Torres family founded Miguel Torres Chile in the Curicó Valley. The new Chilean operation later worked across Curicó, Maule, Limarí, Maipo, Itata and Biobío, with a stated aim of making wines that faithfully express their places of origin. Its projects address sustainability, adaptation to climate change and preservation of Chilean wine heritage. The farming program also works with historic, dry farmed vineyards, and the family has helped recover País and Carignan. The program links historic vineyard material with climate adaptation.

The Producer
The Torres family founded its winery in Vilafranca del Penedès in 1870. The family's Penedès winemaking tradition reaches back to the sixteenth century, and its fifth generation now focuses on unique vineyards, historic estates, ancestral varieties and regenerative viticulture in response to climate change.
Miguel Torres Chile carries that work into Chile through organic and regenerative viticulture, historic dry farmed vineyards, and projects addressing sustainability, climate adaptation and the preservation of Chilean wine heritage. The family has also helped recover the historic Chilean varieties País and Carignan.
