After pursuing a degree in law, Élodie Roy took a job at a bank. Within six months, she realized she had made a mistake. She returned to wine and later worked closely with Anne Gros at Domaine Anne Gros in Vosne-Romanée for 11 years. In 2018, at age 38, she took control of her family domaine. The sequence runs from law to banking to a return to the family vineyard, with the move back to wine happening before the bank career had lasted a year.
