The story
The First Cellar Phase
In 1996, architect Eduardo Canals began designing and directing the first construction phase of Dominio Buenavista's winery. The work finished in 1999, after three years of construction. The winery opened to the public in 1998, before the first phase was complete. In 2004, the facilities expanded with a larger vinification area and new ageing rooms. Vinification rooms are used for making wine, while ageing rooms hold wine as it matures. The same estate earned a silver medal in San Francisco in 2008.

The 2009 Privilegio showed rich black fruit, fine tannins and balanced acidity, with dark leather fruit freshness across the palate. The same review found it more refined and nuanced than the base Tempranillo from that vintage.
