The story
Granier Renames the Estate
In 2000, Jean-Christophe Granier left city life and returned to his family's dormant vineyard in the limestone hills of Pic Saint-Loup. The property had been founded in 1868. Granier took it over, revived it, and renamed it after the hills around the estate. The revived holding became Domaine Les Grandes Costes, with vineyards in Corconne and Vacquières and Mediterranean grapes including Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault and Carignan. Its wines now carry the Pic Saint-Loup and Languedoc appellations.
